Bread & Beans Kitchen: keep the shelves full this school holidays
Ngozika runs a volunteer pantry feeding 338 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Friday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 20 families, and now we feed 338 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 32% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Wudil market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $400 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $175
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $165
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
Thank you so much.

Stay strong, Ngozika. It takes guts to ask. Well done. God bless
Thinking of you and your family. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up.
Wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. All the best.
Sending strength, Ngozika. More neighborhoods should do this. Take care.
You're not alone, Ngozika. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Sydney donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Wudil.
