Birmingham storm relief - the families of Northside Lane
The storm damaged 49 homes in the families of Northside Lane. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The storm hit the families of Northside Lane on 26 March. My home was one of 49 damaged, and 4 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $4,300 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,700
• Clean water and purification supplies: $460
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,140
I hope life is good to you.

This could happen to any of us. After 15 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
Wishing you the best. Hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care
Thanks for sharing this. Hope you get there. We're a small family in Kasarani but we're thinking of you. All the best
thanks for sharing this, Kimberly. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care.
Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to the next update. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings
