Bianca was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August. The oncology team at São Paulo University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Bianca is 49, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to São Paulo University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Scans and lab work: $380
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $200
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,250
• Household costs while unable to work: $370
