Bennett's ACL reconstruction can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Bennett needs ACL reconstruction at Mobile General Hospital and the family is $6,200 short of the hospital's estimate.

Bennett was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in May. The surgeon at Mobile General Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,750, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $6,200 short.
my son has been in and out of Mobile General Hospital since May. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Bennett struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Bennett won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $6,200 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $3,300
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $1,400
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $530
• Post-operative medication: $390
• Physiotherapy sessions: $280
• Travel and lodging for the family: $300
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope things get better soon, Natalia. Wishing Bennett a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out.
