Bello lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Ibadan Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,000.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Bello could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
