Beatriz needs a pair of hearing aids - help us make it happen
Beatriz needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,500.
🇧🇷 Brazil1,398 views
Beatriz lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at Brasília General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,500.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Beatriz could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $2,300
• Fitting and training sessions: $50
• Delivery and set-up: $70
• First-year servicing plan: $80
With deep gratitude,
Cláudio

Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Brasília
Thank you. If you're in Brasília I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
Wishing you the best, Cláudio. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Epe
