Bea's knee replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a large ovarian cyst, Bea was cleared for knee replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Bea was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in August. The surgeon at Manila Regional Medical Center recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $900, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $450 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Manila Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $900 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Bea struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 6 weeks. During that time Bea won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $450 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $30
• Physiotherapy sessions: $60
• Post-operative medication: $30
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $330
I hope life is good to you.

Wishing you peace, Hazel. I hope things turn around soon. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
Hope it all works out. This could happen to any of us. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Manila.
