Barbara's cervical cancer treatment fund
Barbara is facing cervical cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
Anywhere in the world1,136 views
Barbara was diagnosed with cervical cancer in January. The oncology team at Kraków University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Barbara is 42, worked as a primary school teacher until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Kraków University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $700 goes:
• Transport to Kraków University Hospital: $270
• Scans and lab work: $300
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130
Thanks for reading all this.
