Baobab Primary School needs a solar-powered water pump - Serge's neighborhood project
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at Baobab Primary School that will serve 493 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,650.
It will serve about 493 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Materials: $1,100
• Permits and inspections: $75
• Safety equipment and signage: $140
• Tools hire and delivery: $335
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
