Baobab Primary School needs a skate park - Eleanor's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Sheffield are raising $3,850 for a skate park at Baobab Primary School.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $520, and the remaining cost is $3,850.
It will serve about 346 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,850 goes:
• Materials: $2,650
• Permits and inspections: $330
• Safety equipment and signage: $400
• Tools hire and delivery: $470
