For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,650. It will serve about 353 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $1,650 goes: • Materials: $1,150 • Tools hire and delivery: $370 • Safety equipment and signage: $130 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
