Baobab Park needs a youth football pitch - Courtney's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Park, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $780, and the remaining cost is $3,350. It will serve about 272 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $3,350 goes: • Materials: $2,300 • Permits and inspections: $240 • Safety equipment and signage: $560 • Tools hire and delivery: $250 Thank you so much.
