The flood hit the Lakeview district on 13 September. My home was one of 35 damaged, and 9 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates. Where the $1,300 goes: • Tools and labor for repairs: $185 • Clean water and purification supplies: $300 • Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $210 • Roofing sheets and timber: $605 If you're reading this, thank you.

Updates from Kulap

  1. Small update. $277 so far, we've started the first stage.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 19% funded and I made the first payment toward roofing sheets and timber.

  3. Small update. $55 so far, the plan for bedding, blankets and mattresses is now scheduled.
