Help Zelalem begin Year 10 with a laptop, uniform and books.

I earned a place in Year 10 at Addis Ababa Technical College, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $100, which is more than we have.
I love chemistry and want to become a marine biologist. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $100 goes:
• Laptop: $45
• School uniform and shoes: $15
• Textbooks and workbooks: $25
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $15
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
Updates from Zelalem

Take care, Zelalem. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Surakarta
Hang in there, Zelalem. Study hard!

sending strength. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I hope June is when things finally get easier. Thinking of Addis Ababa.
Hang in there. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'll check back for the next update!
