Back-to-school fund for Yolanda
Yolanda won a place at Medellín Science Academy but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.
🇨🇴 Antioquia, Colombia462 views
I earned a place in Year 10 at Medellín Science Academy, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $305, which is more than we have.
I love chemistry and want to become an architect. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $305 goes:
• Laptop: $185
• School uniform and shoes: $45
• Textbooks and workbooks: $70
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $5
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
