Back-to-school fund for Violet
Violet won a place at Sherbrooke Girls' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Year 11 at Sherbrooke Girls' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the graphic design course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $1,100, which is more than we have.
I love graphic design and want to become a teacher. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Laptop: $520
• School uniform and shoes: $195
• Textbooks and workbooks: $290
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $95
Every share and every dollar helps.

can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Sherbrooke.
Wishing you peace. Hope you get there. We're a small family in Eugene but we're thinking of you. Take care.
Hang in there. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best
Sending strength, Violet. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out
Good luck. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too!
As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.
