Back-to-school fund for Travis
Travis won a place at the Los Angeles Selective School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in the first year of senior school at the Los Angeles Selective School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the graphic design course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $1,100, which is more than we have.
I love graphic design and want to become a nurse. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Laptop: $680
• School uniform and shoes: $145
• Textbooks and workbooks: $210
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $65
Thanks for being kind about this.
Updates from Travis
41% there. I met with the school supplier and confirmed the amounts. Thank you.
Thank you all. We're at 12% now ($132). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward laptop.
