Back-to-school fund for Tammy
Tammy won a place at Oakland International School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Grade 9 at Oakland International School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $950, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become a nurse. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.

• Textbooks and workbooks: $210
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $70
