Back-to-school fund for Soo-ah
Soo-ah won a place at Philadelphia Boys' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Form 4 at Philadelphia Boys' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $650, which is more than we have.
I love chemistry and want to become a teacher. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $650 goes:
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $70
• Laptop: $430
• School uniform and shoes: $150

Good luck. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless.
Thanks for sharing this. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My husband and I read this together.
Praying for you. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My neighbor in Tucson donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
How is Soo-ah doing now?
Best of luck, Soo-ah. I hope things turn around soon. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Soo-ah?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about calculator, stationery and a school bag, advice is welcome too. Let me know if you want more detail.
