Back-to-school fund for Rashidi
Rashidi won a place at Likoni Science Academy but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.
🇰🇪 Likoni, Mombasa, Kenya939 views
Rashidi earned a place in the first year of senior school at Likoni Science Academy, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things He needs, including a laptop for the design and technology course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $200, which is more than they have.
Rashidi loves design and technology and wants to become a nurse. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
He will take care of everything given and works very hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $200 goes:
• Laptop: $90
• School uniform and shoes: $40
• Textbooks and workbooks: $35
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $35
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 19 people at work. Love from Kharkiv.
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Likoni
Thank you. If you're in Likoni I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Let me know if you want more detail.
Sending good thoughts. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Beersheba but we're thinking of you. All the best.
Hope things get better soon, Irene. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care.
Stay strong, Irene. Hope this works out for you. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Likoni.
As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Put this on a community board in Kinondoni this morning. Take care
hang in there. This could happen to any of us. Love from Ahmedabad
