I earned a place in Year 11 at Nashville Technical College, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the design and technology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $950, which is more than we have.
I love design and technology and want to become a marine biologist. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $950 goes:
• Laptop: $410
• School uniform and shoes: $250
• Textbooks and workbooks: $210
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $80
