Back-to-school fund for Pedro
Pedro won a place at Springfield Boys' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Year 10 at Springfield Boys' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the mathematics course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $900, which is more than we have.
I love mathematics and want to become a pilot. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $900 goes:
• Laptop: $590
• School uniform and shoes: $210
• Textbooks and workbooks: $100
If you're reading this, thank you.

Wishing you the best, Pedro. Hope you get there. Thinking of Springfield.
You're not alone, Pedro. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Istanbul.
This could happen to any of us. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Manila.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Springfield.
