Back-to-school fund for Manoel
Manoel won a place at Uberlândia Technical College but the family cannot afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Form 4 at Uberlândia Technical College, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $300, which is more than we have.
I love chemistry and want to become a teacher. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $300 goes:
• Laptop: $160
• School uniform and shoes: $55
• Textbooks and workbooks: $65
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $20
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Praying for you, Manoel. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn
Thanks for sharing this. This could happen to any of us. Love from Rennes!
Hope it all works out. Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
