Lakshmi earned a place in Year 10 at Dehiwala Technical College, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things She needs, including a laptop for the robotics course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $150, which is more than they have.
Lakshmi loves robotics and wants to become a pilot. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
She will take care of everything given and works very hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $150 goes:
• Textbooks and workbooks: $25
• Laptop: $75
• School uniform and shoes: $50
