Back-to-school fund for Jing
Jing won a place at Minneapolis Boys' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Year 11 at Minneapolis Boys' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $300, which is more than we have.
I love chemistry and want to become an architect. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $300 goes:
• School uniform and shoes: $100
• Textbooks and workbooks: $120
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $80
I hope life is good to you.
