Back-to-school fund for Hendra
Hendra won a place at Jakarta Barat Boys' High School but the family cannot afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in the first year of senior school at Jakarta Barat Boys' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $100, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become a pilot. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $100 goes:
• Textbooks and workbooks: $20
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $15
• Laptop: $65
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope it all works out, Hendra. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend
Best of luck, Hendra. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Lahore
