Back-to-school fund for Fani
Fani won a place at Jakarta Selatan Science Academy but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in the first year of senior school at Jakarta Selatan Science Academy, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become a nurse. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $150 goes:
• Laptop: $85
• Textbooks and workbooks: $40
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $25
Thanks for reading all this.

You're not alone. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless.
