Back-to-school fund for Elke
Help Elke begin Grade 9 with a laptop, uniform and books.

I earned a place in Grade 9 at the Frankfurt Selective School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $950, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become an engineer. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $950 goes:
• Laptop: $580
• School uniform and shoes: $185
• Textbooks and workbooks: $135
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $50
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
Updates from Elke
Wanted to say thank you properly. 32% funded and I made the first payment toward school uniform and shoes.
Update from Frankfurt: the plan for textbooks and workbooks is now scheduled. We're at 16% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
