Back-to-school fund for Diya
Diya won a place at Ahmedabad Girls' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Form 4 at Ahmedabad Girls' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the mathematics course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $200, which is more than we have.
I love mathematics and want to become a nurse. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $200 goes:
• Laptop: $90
• School uniform and shoes: $40
• Textbooks and workbooks: $50
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $20
Every share and every dollar helps.

any update on how things are going in Ahmedabad?
Sending love. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.
thinking of you. Study hard! My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
Sending good thoughts. I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 38 people at work. Greetings from Sacramento
Hang in there. Hope you get there. Thinking of Ahmedabad!
