Adama
I earned a place in Form 4 at the Adama Selective School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the coding course, and a uniform. My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $50, which is more than we have. I love coding and want to become a teacher. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours. I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard. I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything. Where the $50 goes: • School uniform and shoes: $15 • Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $10 • Textbooks and workbooks: $25 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope it all works out, Birtukan. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about school uniform and shoes, advice is welcome too. Thanks for asking.

    • Thinking of you and your family, Birtukan. Hope this works out for you. Sent it to 10 people at work. Love from Kumasi.

      • wishing you the best, Birtukan. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it

        • Thanks for sharing this, Birtukan. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry

          • Wishing you peace. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care
