I earned a place in the first year of senior school at Leicester Technical College, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the design and technology course, and a uniform. My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $1,050, which is more than we have. I love design and technology and want to become a marine biologist. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours. I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard. Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag. Where the $1,050 goes: • Laptop: $610 • School uniform and shoes: $135 • Textbooks and workbooks: $305 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Annabelle

  1. Update from Leicester: we've started the first stage. We're at 45% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 33% now ($350). I'm honestly stunned. the first invoice got paid this week.

  3. Small update. $295 so far, I met with the school supplier and confirmed the amounts.
