Tacoma
I earned a place in Grade 9 at Tacoma Science Academy, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the mathematics course, and a uniform. My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $850, which is more than we have. I love mathematics and want to become a teacher. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours. I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard. Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag. Where the $850 goes: • Laptop: $380 • School uniform and shoes: $160 • Textbooks and workbooks: $160 • Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $150 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
