Entebbe
For fifteen years I have run a roadside café in Entebbe. In November, a fire in the building took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $500 goes: • Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $330 • Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $45 • Shop repairs and licensing: $95 • Working capital for the first month: $30 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Wambui

  • I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.

    • You're not alone. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.

      • Good luck, Wambui. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Augusta.

        • Wishing you the best. Looking forward to the next update. After 16 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
