Back to business - Vusi's comeback in Pretoria
A bicycle repair shop in Pretoria needs help replacing a full set of tools after a fire in the building.
🇿🇦 South Africa1,156 views
For six years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Pretoria. In August, a fire in the building took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $80
• Working capital for the first month: $180
• Replacing a full set of tools: $740
Thanks for being kind about this.

Rooting for you, Vusi. Hope the shop reopens soon. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Thinking of you, Vusi. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Móstoles this morning. Take care.
