Back to business - Véronique's comeback in Nice

Véronique has run a barbershop for six years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $3,300 will put it back on its feet.

Nice
For six years I have run a barbershop in Nice. In December, a storm that collapsed the roof took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $3,300 goes: • Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $1,650 • Initial stock: supplies: $620 • Shop repairs and licensing: $600 • Working capital for the first month: $430 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Updates from Véronique

  1. Update from Nice: I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. We're at 49% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 37% funded and I made the first payment toward shop repairs and licensing.

  3. Thank you all. We're at 14% now ($460). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage.
