Back to business - Valentina's comeback in Madrid
A small grocery stall in Madrid needs help replacing a cold-storage unit after floodwater.
🇪🇸 Madrid, Madrid, Spain3,247 views
For four years I have run a small grocery stall in Madrid. In August, floodwater took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,100 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $1,900
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $440
• Shop repairs and licensing: $430
• Working capital for the first month: $330
If you're reading this, thank you.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Valentina
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. replacing a cold-storage unit is the biggest at $1,900. Good question.
Sending good thoughts. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 39 people at work. God bless
Praying for you. This could happen to any of us. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too
take care. This could happen to any of us. It's not much but it's yours. Take care.
