Back to business - Vaishali's comeback in Prayagraj
A bicycle repair shop in Prayagraj needs help replacing a full set of tools after a fire in the building.
🇮🇳 Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India1,548 views
For four years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Prayagraj. In June, a fire in the building took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $500 goes:
• Replacing a full set of tools: $310
• Initial stock: spare parts: $65
• Shop repairs and licensing: $50
• Working capital for the first month: $75
Thanks for being kind about this.
Updates from Vaishali
Update from Prayagraj: I made the first payment toward working capital for the first month. We're at 35% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($100 in total) the plan for initial stock: spare parts is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Quick update: $137 raised so far (27%). I made the first payment toward working capital for the first month. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
