Back to business - Tomás's comeback in Xalapa
A street-food cart in Xalapa needs help replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators after a break-in.
🇲🇽 Veracruz, Mexico1,428 views
For twelve years I have run a street-food cart in Xalapa. In September, a break-in took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $230
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $630
• Shop repairs and licensing: $140
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in Belo Horizonte but we're thinking of you. Love from Belo Horizonte.
