Back to business - Swapnil's comeback in Mumbai
Swapnil lost a cold-storage unit to a fire in the building and needs $650 to reopen a small grocery stall and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a small grocery stall in Mumbai. In August, a fire in the building took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $650 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $400
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $50
• Shop repairs and licensing: $85
• Working capital for the first month: $115
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

You're not alone. Shared it with a few friends. Sent it to 39 people at work.
Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Wiesbaden.
