Back to business - Sara's comeback in Addis Ababa
Sara lost two washing machines and a dryer to a long illness and repossession and needs $150 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For three years I have run a laundry service in Addis Ababa. In August, a long illness and repossession took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $150 goes:
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $40
• Shop repairs and licensing: $45
• Working capital for the first month: $65
Thanks for reading all this.

Take care. Small businesses are the heart of Addis Ababa. Hope you're open again soon. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from León.
