Back to business - Sameer's comeback in Amritsar
Sameer lost an espresso machine and grinder to floodwater and needs $550 to reopen a roadside café and support the family.

For nine years I have run a roadside café in Amritsar. In August, floodwater took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $550 goes:
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $410
• Working capital for the first month: $50
• Shop repairs and licensing: $90
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
Updates from Sameer

It takes guts to ask. Well done. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Thinking of you and your family, Sameer. Your post was clear and honest. My neighbor in Mumbai donated after I showed her your page
I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless
