Back to business - Rekha's comeback in Pune
Rekha lost three industrial sewing machines to a long illness and repossession and needs $700 to reopen a tailoring shop and support the family.

For nine years I have run a tailoring shop in Pune. In November, a long illness and repossession took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $700 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $400
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $115
• Shop repairs and licensing: $75
• Working capital for the first month: $110
Glad we found this place.

Thinking of you, Rekha. Hope this works out for you
Hope it all works out, Rekha. Small businesses are the heart of Pune. Hope you're open again soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Shared this with my family. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Onitsha.
Stay strong, Rekha. Looking forward to the next update. Blessings.
