Back to business - Ramesh's comeback in Madurai
Ramesh lost clippers, chairs and mirrors to a fire in the building and needs $650 to reopen a barbershop and support the family.

For nine years I have run a barbershop in Madurai. In August, a fire in the building took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $650 goes:
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $460
• Initial stock: supplies: $50
• Shop repairs and licensing: $30
• Working capital for the first month: $110
Every share and every dollar helps.

Updates from Ramesh
Update from Madurai: I made the first payment toward shop repairs and licensing. We're at 16% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Small update. $195 so far, I made the first payment toward working capital for the first month.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($350 in total) we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
