Back to business - Parker's comeback in London
A laundry service in London needs help replacing two washing machines and a dryer after a storm that collapsed the roof.

For fifteen years I have run a laundry service in London. In April, a storm that collapsed the roof took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $620
• Working capital for the first month: $360
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $1,920
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Rooting for you. Small businesses are the heart of London. Hope you're open again soon. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out.
