Back to business - Omondi's comeback in Mwanza
Omondi lost a cold-storage unit to a long illness and repossession and needs $350 to reopen a small grocery stall and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a small grocery stall in Mwanza. In May, a long illness and repossession took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $35
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $240
• Shop repairs and licensing: $75
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Sending good thoughts, Omondi. Small businesses are the heart of Mwanza. Hope you're open again soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry!
Wishing you the best. I hope things turn around soon. After 29 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
