Back to business - Okello's comeback in Fort Portal
A phone repair counter in Fort Portal needs help replacing a soldering station and testing tools after the demolition of the market.
🇺🇬 Fort Portal, Western Region, Uganda1,031 views
For nine years I have run a phone repair counter in Fort Portal. In August, the demolition of the market took a soldering station and testing tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Replacing a soldering station and testing tools: $130
• Initial stock: replacement parts: $75
• Shop repairs and licensing: $55
• Working capital for the first month: $90
Thanks for being kind about this.

hang in there, Okello. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
