Back to business - Nour's comeback in Shubra

A barbershop in Shubra needs help replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors after the demolition of the market.

🇪🇬 Egypt1,907 views
For nine years I have run a barbershop in Shubra. In July, the demolition of the market took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $450 goes: • Working capital for the first month: $105 • Shop repairs and licensing: $35 • Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $310 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

    • Hope things get better soon, Nour. This could happen to any of us. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings.
