Back to business - Mia's comeback in Tampa
Mia lost a gas stove and two refrigerators to the demolition of the market and needs $4,500 to reopen a street-food cart and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a street-food cart in Tampa. In November, the demolition of the market took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $4,500 goes:
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $3,300
• Initial stock: ingredients: $540
• Shop repairs and licensing: $310
• Working capital for the first month: $350
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

hope it all works out, Mia. Hope you make a strong comeback. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Mia
Sure. The biggest one is replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators, $3,300. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
So sorry you're going through this, Mia. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. God bless.
Keep going, Mia. Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Jaipur.
Take care, Mia. Looking forward to the next update. Sent it to 36 people at work. Thinking of Tampa.
