Back to business - Maxime's comeback in Paris
A neighborhood bakery in Paris needs help replacing a commercial oven after floodwater.
🇫🇷 France3,308 views
For four years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Paris. In October, floodwater took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $490
• Shop repairs and licensing: $510
• Replacing a commercial oven: $1,750
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Best of luck, Maxime. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Paris
Sending good thoughts. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Paris.
Thinking of you, Maxime. Hope you make a strong comeback
hope it all works out, Maxime. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 40 people at work.
Thanks for sharing this. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from London.
Thinking of you and your family. I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it!
You're not alone. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Paris.
