Back to business - Maverick's comeback in Anaheim
Maverick has run a barbershop for twelve years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $2,400 will put it back on its feet.
🇺🇸 Anaheim, California, United States2,280 views
For twelve years I have run a barbershop in Anaheim. In March, floodwater took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Initial stock: supplies: $890
• Shop repairs and licensing: $730
• Working capital for the first month: $780
Thanks for reading all this.

Rooting for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Los Angeles this morning.
Sending love. Hope the shop reopens soon. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Wishing you peace, Maverick. Hope you make a strong comeback. My neighbor in Guadalajara donated after I showed her your page. Blessings
take care, Maverick. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Anaheim
